Amada Turret/Punch Press Operator Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Amada Turret/Punch Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Amada CNC turret punch press equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, performing machine setups, producing quality sheet metal components, and ensuring production goals are met while maintaining a safe work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate Amada CNC turret/punch press machines. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. Load programs and make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Select and install appropriate tooling for production jobs. Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring instruments. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor operational issues. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Work closely with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve manufacturing issues. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an Amada CNC Turret/Punch Press or similar CNC sheet metal equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and program adjustments. Ability to use precision measuring instruments. Basic computer skills.
