Job Description:

About the Role:

The Senior Physical Security Intelligence and Investigations Specialist will strengthen Physical Security & Crisis Management's investigative, incident-analysis, and all-source threat intelligence capabilities through operational delivery and program development. In doing so, it will ensure Sun Life's ability to fulfill its Purpose of helping Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.

What will you do?

  • Lead escalated intelligence and investigative operations involving multiple stakeholders and sensitive information, under rapidly evolving or ambiguous circumstances and across time zones.
  • Synthesize internal and external information into timely, accurate, actionable assessments, briefings, and decision-support products.
  • Develop and use diverse sources of internal and external information, including OSINT, incident data, monitoring tools, and intelligence providers to strengthen situational awareness and operational response.
  • Advance the program by improving products, processes, and stakeholder engagement to deliver tangible risk reduction.
  • Support continuous learning through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Degree or diploma in criminal intelligence analysis, intelligence studies, criminology, political science, international relations, or a related field.
  • Typically, 5-7 years of experience in analytics, investigations, threat intelligence, OSINT, or a comparable role in a large or complex global organization.
  • Advanced proficiency with investigative and intelligence tools, including incident management, access-control, and video surveillance systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 Copilot; automation, reporting, or workflow experience is an asset.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including structured analytic techniques, trend identification, and translating data into business insights, dashboards, reports, and executive materials.
  • Experience developing intelligence products, standards, collection processes, coordination models, or information-sharing mechanisms in corporate, law enforcement, or public-sector settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing senior leaders and translating complex threats into clear business implications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Crime and investigative analysis, geospatial mapping, or related tools.
  • OSINT training or certification; Python familiarity for automation.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Workplace violence assessment training, qualifications, or experience.
  • Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, or other enterprise business-intelligence and Microsoft Power Platform tools.

This role requires Reliability Status Clearance. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
