Job description

Our client seeks a dynamic and results-driven Orthodontic Sales Representative to join their team in the Chicagoland Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clear aligner treatments and a proven track record of leveraging a Challenger Sales approach to drive growth in a competitive market. As an Orthodontic Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building relationships with orthodontists, dental professionals, and treatment coordinators, educating them about the benefits and applications of clear aligner treatments, and driving sales growth in your territory.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Employ a Challenger Sales approach to engage and educate orthodontists, dental professionals, and practices about clear aligner products and services.
  • Effectively position the company’s clear aligner solutions by providing tailored insights that challenge conventional thinking and showcase the advantages of adopting our treatment solutions.
  • Drive business development by identifying and nurturing new accounts while maintaining and growing existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create customized solutions for clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.


  • Product Knowledge & Education:
  • Provide in-depth education and training to dental professionals on the features, benefits, and clinical applications of clear aligner treatments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in orthodontic technologies and treatments to offer advanced solutions to customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, and other educational events to promote product adoption and usage.


  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in the orthodontic and dental community.
  • Regularly visit and follow up with accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of clear aligner treatment options.
  • Address any customer concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner.


  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
  • Track sales activities, manage leads, and provide regular reports on territory sales performance, pipeline status, and account updates.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, driving both revenue and market share growth in the clear aligner sector.


  • Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Work closely with the marketing, clinical, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics to maximize opportunities and achieve business objectives.


Qualifications:


  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in sales, with a specific focus on clear aligner treatments a huge plus (minimum 2 years).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply the Challenger Sales approach, challenging customer assumptions and driving sales with consultative selling.
  • Experience in building relationships with orthodontists, dentists, and treatment coordinators.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.


  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of clear aligner products, treatment protocols, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to educate and persuade customers through a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large territory and multiple accounts.


  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
