Job description

Position Summary

SHIFT- Candidate must be open to varying hours including evening hours (i.e 11:00 am - 7:00pm).

This position will also have 24/7 responsibilities during times of alien attack or invasion of Earth.

Summary

Earth's first, last, and only line of defense against the truly bizarre. Are you ready to defend humanity from threats beyond the stars? The Extraterrestrial Emergency Operations Division is seeking a highly motivated and quick-thinking Analyst to join our elite team. This critical role involves vigilant monitoring of cosmic anomalies, early detection of non-terrestrial incursions, and rapid deployment of strategic response protocols to safeguard Earth from alien threats. The ideal candidate possesses an unparalleled ability to analyze complex interstellar data, coordinate with various superhuman and governmental agencies, and maintain composure under the most extreme, reality-bending pressures. If you thrive on the front lines of intergalactic defense and have a knack for turning potential world-ending events into manageable incidents, your adventure starts here.

Responsibilities
  • Threat Monitoring & Intelligence: Continuously monitor deep-space telemetry, interdimensional rifts, and known alien communication frequencies for signs of impending incursions, invasions, or anomalous energy signatures. Utilize advanced sensor arrays and mystical artifacts (as cleared) to detect extraterrestrial activity.
  • Incident Response & Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact during extraterrestrial emergencies. Rapidly assess threat levels, identify alien species and their capabilities, and recommend appropriate response strategies. Coordinate real-time with the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D., S.W.O.R.D., Wakandan defense forces, and other allied superhuman teams.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile and analyze vast quantities of data related to alien technology, tactical weaknesses, and historical invasion patterns. Prepare concise, actionable reports and briefings for Director Storm and other high-level strategic commands.
  • Resource Allocation & Logistics: Assist in the strategic allocation of defensive assets, including vibranium-enhanced weaponry, specialized containment units, and interdimensional transport logistics during active incidents.
  • Post-Incident Assessment: Conduct thorough post-engagement analyses, documenting alien species behavior, assessing damage, and identifying lessons learned to refine future response protocols.
  • Training & Simulation: Participate in advanced training exercises, including simulated Kree invasions, Skrull infiltration drills, and multi-dimensional portal breaches.
  • Diplomacy (as needed): Occasionally assist in first contact scenarios or de-escalation efforts with non-hostile (or temporarily confused) alien entities, under strict supervision.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Astrophysics, Astrobiology, Emergency Management, International Relations (with a focus on interspecies diplomacy), or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Xenology or Quantum Mechanics is a significant advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in emergency operations, intelligence analysis, or crisis management, preferably with exposure to highly unconventional threats.
    • Proven experience working in high-pressure, rapidly evolving environments where the fate of the planet may literally hang in the balance.
    • Familiarity with various alien threat profiles (e.g., Chitauri, Frost Giants, Dark Elves, Symbiotes, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding classified cosmic incidents.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly when dealing with non-Euclidean geometries or temporal paradoxes.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of conveying complex cosmic threats to diverse audiences (from military generals to talking raccoons).
    • Proficiency in advanced data analysis software and, ideally, experience with alien-derived operating systems.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary environment, often alongside individuals with extraordinary abilities and/or unique sartorial choices.
    • High degree of adaptability and resilience; comfortable with the concept of "normal" being a constantly shifting baseline.
    • Bonus Skills: Basic understanding of Pym Particle physics, proficiency in at least one extraterrestrial language (e.g., Groot, Shy'ar, or ancient Asgardian), or a demonstrated ability to operate advanced alien tech without accidentally opening a black hole.
