Job description

Albright College’s Department of English seeks applications for multiple adjunct faculty positions to teach first-year writing. Successful candidates will teach one or two sections of English 101, the first course in our two-semester first-year composition sequence.

All instructors teaching English 101 at Albright teach a shared curriculum. All course materials, including course syllabus and Canvas shell template, will be provided upon hire.

Albright College is a small liberal arts college that offers a challenging curriculum to a very diverse student body. The College is consistently named as a top performer in social mobility and in return on investment.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA in English, Rhetoric and Writing Studies, or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in English, Rhetoric and Writing Studies, or a closely related field; or MFA in creative writing
  • Experience with in-person and technologically enhanced teaching
  • Evidence of positive contributions to team projects and working environments
