Position Summary
We are growing and have an immediate opening for a qualified professionalTruck Driver (CDL-A with HAZMAT Endorsement)in Honolulu, HI. The role will consist of draying containers to and from the Honolulu port, as well as pickups and deliveries on Oahu. We provide a great work environment and benefits!


Responsibilities

  • Handle deliveries and pickups on Oahu, HI.
  • Plan daily routes and follow the delivery schedules.
  • Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage.
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
  • Manage routes and routines.
  • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
  • Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
  • Move ocean containers in and out of the dock doors or around the truck yard.


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must have less than 3 minor moving violations, and no major moving violations.
  • Valid Hawaii Class A license.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report, (showing 10-year driving history) within 30 days of presentation.
  • Experience with refrigerated & frozen products, preferred.
  • Hazardous Material Endorsement / TSA (Required).
  • TWIC Card (will be required).
  • Pallet jack and hand truck experience required.
  • Forklift (sit down or stand up) experience is a plus.
