Job description

What You Will Be Doing:
In this Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer Associate position you will be responsible for writing, validation, and maintenance of organizational-level technical publications for on-equipment maintenance of C-130 B-H, C-130J or C-5 aircraft.
Publications are developed in Organizational Maintenance Manual Set (OMMS) and S1000D formats and maintained in the LM Aeronautics
Virtually Integrated System for Technical Authoring (VISTA) and Technical Content Authoring and Management System (TCAMS) utilizing Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) and Extensible Mark-up Language (XML).
Responsibilities will focus on creation of operation and maintenance of complex aircraft electrical and avionics systems including automatic flight control, communications, aviation, identification, radar, surveillance, and
electronic warfare systems technical publications.
Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with customers, engineering, and other organizations to define aircraft maintenance requirements.
Successful candidate must possess a Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering degree or have extensive knowledge of all aircraft avionics
systems, including military specification requirements and logistic support concepts and be able to read and interpret wiring and schematic diagrams.
Prior military or industry experience relating to aircraft avionics and knowledge of complex automated and integrated aircraft systems preferred.
