Air Export Quoting Agent – 77073
Position Summary
The Air Export Quoting Agent is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive air export quotations for international shipments. This role requires a strong understanding of air freight operations, carrier rates, routing options, and customer service. The agent works closely with sales, operations, and carrier partners to ensure timely and precise quotes that meet customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and review quotation requests from customers, sales representatives, and agents.
  • Analyze shipment details such as dimensions, weight, commodity, destination, and special handling requirements.
  • Source and negotiating rates with airlines, co-loaders, and service providers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate air export quotations within required turnaround times.
  • Ensure all quotes comply with company policies, airline regulations, and international trade requirements.
  • Maintain and update rate databases, tariffs, and routing guides.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service options, transit times, and pricing structures.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to convert quotes into bookings.
  • Track quote performance and provide feedback to management on market trends and pricing competitiveness.
  • Support other team members with rate research, data entry, and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
