Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

About the Role

Micron's DRAM Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead end-to-end execution of Graphics DRAM and Compute product programs. This is a senior individual contributor role that combines high-visibility program ownership with strategic influence across the PMO organization.

The ideal candidate will own some of Micron's most technically demanding and customer-critical product portfolios, operating from New Product Introduction (NPI) through High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) readiness. Beyond program execution, this person will serve as a thought leader within the PMO, shaping cross-functional governance mechanisms, driving AI-powered workflow improvements, and elevating the effectiveness of the broader program management team.

This role sits at the intersection of technical depth, organizational influence, and operational discipline. You will represent your programs at the executive level, navigate ambiguity across multiple business units, and help define how Micron's PMO evolves to meet the demands of a rapidly changing product landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership - Graphics & Compute

  • Own end-to-end program management for GDDR and Compute products from planning through qualification and HVM ramp, in alignment with Micron's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process
  • Set up, direct, and continuously improve Product Development Teams (PDTs) with structured weekly meetings, clear agendas, decision logs, and follow-through accountability
  • Drive alignment of product development targets across Engineering, R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, and Business Unit stakeholders
  • Identify critical path risks early; escalate and drive resolution decisively when issues exceed PDT scope
  • Manage handoff from NPI programs to sustaining PDTs and Manufacturing/Supply Chain at HVM ramp
  • Own and maintain the Graphics Golden Model and comparable program health frameworks, serving as the single source of truth for portfolio status

Cross-BU Governance & NPI Coordination

  • Lead cross-BU governance forums for NPI wafer allocation, prioritization, and escalation, ensuring alignment across CMBU, CDBU, MCBU, AEBU, and other relevant organizations
  • Serve as the standing owner and facilitator for cross-functional NPI sampling workflows, maintaining forum cadence, decision transparency, and stakeholder trust
  • Drive proactive communication and structured escalation paths to resolve allocation conflicts and competing priorities across business units
  • Represent the PMO perspective in cross-organizational planning discussions and ensure that program needs are visible and advocated for at the right levels

AI Integration & PMO Workflow Innovation

  • Build on existing AI workflow foundations within the PMO to drive measurable improvements in program management efficiency and decision quality
  • Identify high-value automation and AI integration opportunities across the program lifecycle, including meeting intelligence, status reporting, risk identification, and dashboard analytics
  • Contribute to the development of AI-enhanced program management standards and playbooks that can be proliferated across the broader PMO organization
  • Maintain fluency with emerging AI tools and approaches relevant to program management, and actively evangelize adoption where productivity gains are demonstrable

PMO Excellence & Organizational Impact

  • Facilitate lessons learned workshops and structured retrospectives; drive proliferation of best practices across the organization
  • Lead or contribute to PMO continuous improvement initiatives, including tooling enhancements, process standardization, and capability development
  • Champion PMO values of integrity, accountability, and collaboration in all interactions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred) with 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, product development, or program management
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and successfully delivering complex, multi-phase semiconductor programs from NPI through HVM ramp
  • Experience with AI tools, workflow automation, or digital transformation initiatives in a program management or operations context
  • Deep understanding of product development cycles and semiconductor industry product lifecycle management
  • Proven ability to lead Product Development Teams across cross-functional and geographically distributed organizations
  • Experience owning cross-organizational governance forums, with demonstrated skill in stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and escalation management
  • Strong command of program scheduling tools and methodologies; ability to assess and communicate schedule health, critical path, and risk at an executive level
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and executive presentation, with a proven ability to influence without authority
  • Data-driven mindset; experience using program metrics, dashboards, and analytics to drive decisions and surface risks
  • Self-directed, structured, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with emerging Compute memory programs
  • Proficiency with enterprise program management and data tools including JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Power BI, SAP Hana, and Teamcenter
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
  • Experience mentoring or formally coaching other program managers
