Are you looking excited about crops, soil and sustainability? Do you enjoy being in the fields working with growers to improve their cropping systems? Timac Agro is an international plant nutrition company focused on new fertilizer technologies for sustainable agriculture. We are focused on plant nutrition research as well as leveraging soil testing and a consultative sales approach to position new fertilizer technologies to help growers โ€œthink different, farm better.โ€


Goal: To provide students an experience in all aspects of research plot work and agronomy sales.

Locations: Reading, PA, St. Louis, MI, Eden, NY, and Springerton, Il

Main Crops: Corn, soybeans, wheat, tree fruit, and other specialty crops

Length of Employment: 10 - 12 weeks

Wages: $15.00/Hour

Interns will gain experience in:

Research

  • Performing leaf analysis, soil tests and other collecting data from research plots to evaluate product response.
  • Hands on plot maintenance and application of fertilizers.
  • Visiting plots in their area to gather data and apply fertilizers as needed.
  • Evaluating farm nutrient levels from soils, plants, and manures and integrating into a nutrient management strategy.

Sales

  • Assisting Regional Sales Manager with sales and development of Timac Agro branded products.
  • Assisting with set up of distributor and customer training and field demonstrations.
  • Providing agronomic service and recommendations to growers.
  • Presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Helping to Educate and train growers and distributors on new technology.
  • Delivering product to growers.
  • Assisting where needed.
Requirements:
  • Attending College for Agronomy or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Customer Service mindset.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outside.
