Job description

Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting production and maintenance teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment. Performs preventive maintenance and Master Sanitation Program tasks, completes emergency and scheduled repairs, and participates in on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays as needed. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


Responsibilities

  • Perform all scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) as assigned, including Master Sanitation Program tasks.
  • Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and organized recordkeeping for PMs and Master Sanitation Program activities.
  • Work closely with management and production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Source parts and supplies as needed to complete repairs and ensure equipment reliability.


Qualifications

  • Basic/Intermediate electrical knowledge
  • PLC knowledge
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • TIG welding / fabrication experience (sanitary welding a plus)
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong deductive reasoning and troubleshooting ability
  • High attention to detail and initiative
  • Willingness to learn dairy industry processes and internal systems
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role (preferred)
  • Well-rounded mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Food industry experience (preferred, especially pump and valve knowledge)
