As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative company committed to people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, corridors, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Monitor access points, help to deter unauthorized entry, and provide visible support during opening, closing, and peak traffic periods.
  • Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders related to trespassing, loitering, and/or after-hours activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
