Laboratory Manager Geotechnical & Construction Materials Testing
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Status: Full-Time | On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our geotechnical and construction materials testing laboratory in Las Vegas. This role is responsible for overseeing all laboratory testing activities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and managing staff, equipment, and workflow to support project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all laboratory operations, including testing of soils, asphalt, and concrete

  • Ensure strict adherence to applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and other governing test standards

  • Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory technicians and staff

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized laboratory records and test data

  • Oversee laboratory certifications, audits, and compliance requirements

  • Manage laboratory equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and procurement

  • Control laboratory budgets, workflow scheduling, and resource allocation

  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to ensure clear communication on testing scope, schedules, and deliverables

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and well-organized project documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in soil, asphalt, and concrete testing

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience preferred

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff, priorities, and deadlines

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail

  • Valid driver's license

Certifications
  • ACI Certifications, including:

    • Concrete Strength Testing Technician

    • Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I

    • Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1

    • Aggregate Base Testing Technician

    • Aggregate Testing Technician Level 2
