Job description

Salary:

Do you want to make a positive impact on a company and the environment? This may be the job for you! Our aggregate supply company is looking for an MDOT certified testing technician to join our family of companies. The technician will travel to the 3 pit locations to obtain samples daily and prepare required sieve analysis.


Responsibilities:

The Aggregate Tester is responsible for sieve analysis for several different products such as 21AA, CLII, 6A, IV3 materials.

Will be expected to report daily sales to MDOT weekly.

Work with site supervisor to ensure material being produced to required specifications.

Provide sieve report to the site supervisor and advise on any adjustment that may be required in production to meet the special specifications.

Maintain all sieve reports and provide to customers upon request.

May be required to set up a pre-approved MDOT pit.

Set up a lab and obtain MDOT Certification for lab.

Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

Must have at least 3 years experience (REQUIRED).

Must be a Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician and provide proof of valid certification.

Must have A, B, and C Endorsements and provide proof of certifications.

Must know how to run an aggregate lab and how to use tools such as splitter, shaker, and sieve.


This is a Part Time to full time , hourly position that will require travel to different site locations within Wayne Co.

Work is performed in a combination of an indoor laboratory and outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and cold.
