Job Summary

An Insurance Agency Relationship Manager is a crucial liaison between an insurance carrier and its independent agents. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with agents, providing support, resolving issues, and driving sales growth.

What You Will Do As A Agency Relationship Manager

  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with independent insurance agents within the assigned territory.

  • Collaborate with agents to develop and execute regular account planning sessions, identifying growth opportunities, setting clear objectives, and creating actionable strategies to achieve premium and performance goals.

  • Identify and reconnect with previously high-performing agents to rebuild relationships, understand barriers to past production, and implement tailored strategies to reignite their engagement and drive renewed premium growth.

  • Conduct regular visits (virtually and occasionally in person) with agents to understand their needs, challenges, and growth opportunities.

  • Drive premium growth by implementing strategic plans and working collaboratively with agents.

  • Leverage in-depth data analysis to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to agents to improve performance and profitability.

  • Act as the primary liaison between HOA/Porch and agents, providing exceptional service and support.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and regional market dynamics, using this knowledge to influence territory strategy and agent recommendations.

  • Gather actionable feedback from agents to shape the HOA/Porch's strategies, products representing the voice of the agent in internal discussions.

  • Represent the HOA/Porch at local industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

  • Address and resolve complex challenges for agents by partnering with underwriting, marketing, and operations teams, ensuring a seamless experience and strong satisfaction levels.

What You Will Bring As A Agency Relationship Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, insurance or a related field (preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in insurance sales, relationship management, or agency development, with a proven track record of success.

  • 7+ years of experience in Insurance preferred.

  • Active Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain as needed)

  • Proficiency in CRM tools

  • Deep understanding of the insurance industry, including distribution channels, independent agents, and market trends.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence high-performing agents.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using performance metrics and data-driven insights to inform strategies and recommendations.

  • Examples of identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities to impact results.

  • Experience working with high-performing independent agents and agency networks.

  • Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance software platforms

  • Shows multiple examples of achieving results/showing significant progress in changing and ambiguous environments.

  • Highly collaborative and ability to partner across multiple groups.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range*: $114,000 - $140,000 Annually

Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.


You will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.

You will also be eligible to receive sales incentives, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
