THE ROLE:
The Business Development Manager entails responsibilities for working with multi-national companies to develop product, business, and marketing strategies that compliment AMD's initiatives; as well as enabling product development in building AMD's computing and graphics platform ecosystem. Candidate will evangelize AMD technology, create, and track marketing programs success and enable sale teams through training. In this highly collaborative role, you will work with sales, engineering, product marketing, finance, legal and executive teams.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills. We are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Someone that can work independently as well as part of a team. With outstanding organizational and time management skills, balancing multiple priorities. You must also have the ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Articulate the benefits of AMD based technology
  • Partner with other AMD subject matter authorities to tackle specific customer challenges
  • Lead technical sessions; architect and detail technical solutions that are aligned with end user objectives
  • Design and lead the execution of evaluations to ensure a quality solution is delivered, providing technical assistance to sales for overall account strategy based on AMD solutions
  • Gather a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with AMD versus or competitors

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience as an engineer or equivalent technical role balanced with experience in a customer facing role
  • Proven knowledge in any of the market verticals
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: semi-conductor program management, product management, business development, application engineering.
  • Strong presentation abilities

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's or master's degree in related discipline preferred.
LOCATION: Austin, Texas
