Job description

Schedule: 24 Hours, Nights, 11p-7a, Every Other Weekend, Benefit Eligible

Responsibilities:

The Maternity Registered Nurse provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Maternity Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision, and values into nursingpractice.

The Maternity Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to individuals and groups. Included in such responsibility is health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and, maintain competency in Labor & Delivery OR scrubbing procedures, sterile field management, surgical assistance for obstetric patients' restoration of optimal functioning, and comfort or for the dignified death of those they serve. The Maternity Registered Nurse, within the parameters of his/her generic and continuing education experience, may delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, provided that the delegating Registered Nurse shall bear full and ultimate responsibility for the patient outcomes.

The Maternity Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The Maternity Registered Nurse must be able to lift, transfer and move patients. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols.

Requirements:

  • Education: Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
  • Experience: Previous RN experience required, labor & delivery experience required.
  • Certifications/Licensure: Current RN MA license, BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.

Compensation Range:

$38.86- $80.77

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
