Job description

Are you ready to transform how legal teams work by building AI-powered solutions that eliminate manual processes. Amazon's Enterprise Risk Legal Operations team is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead process mapping and automation initiatives across our litigation and regulatory practice groups. In this role, you will identify inefficiencies, design and implement AI solutions using Amazon Quick and Kiro, and partner with Legal Tech to deploy scalable automation that enables attorneys and paralegals to focus on strategic legal work.

This position uniquely combines program management and data analysis expertise with hands-on AI implementation-you'll collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to drive efficiency, lead cross-functional initiatives, and directly impact operational excellence across Amazon's legal organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive process mapping across practice groups to identify automation opportunities and design AI-powered solutions using Amazon Quick, Kiro, and other approved AI tools
- Optimize high-volume litigation programs, including case intake, triage, assignment workflows, and performance metrics
- Independently manage litigation matters from each practice group to gain firsthand workflow knowledge and develop targeted process improvements
- Partner with Legal Tech teams to develop and deploy scalable automation solutions that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy across legal workflows
- Manage critical business mechanisms including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), and OP1 planning processes with executive-level reporting
- Drive cross-functional initiatives with attorneys, paralegals, engineers, finance teams, and vendors to deliver program outcomes on time
- Support paralegals to oversee vendor management, KPIs and overall program performance optimization
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing high-volume pre-litigation program metrics and identifying bottlenecks in data retrieval workflows. Mid-morning, you'll facilitate a process mapping session with paralegals and practice group members to document workflows, then build an AI agents or collaborate with engineers to scope an AI-powered solution using Amazon Quick or Kiro.

In the afternoon, you could be preparing QBR materials that showcase automation ROI, meeting with outside counsel to discuss performance metrics, or testing a new Kiro workflow for paralegals. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on execution-one day building dashboards in QuickSight, the next presenting efficiency gains to senior legal leadership. Given the dynamic nature of legal operations, you'll adapt quickly to urgent requests while maintaining progress on long-term automation initiatives.

About the team
The Enterprise Risk Legal Operations team is transforming how Amazon's legal organization operates through technology, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making. You'll report to the Sr. Manager of the Legal Operations.

The team partners closely with paralegals, program managers, attorneys across practice groups (Commercial, IP, Competition, Labor & Employment, Government Regulatory), Legal Tech engineers, finance teams, law firms, and external vendors.
Our vision is to build scalable, AI-enabled operations that allow legal professionals to focus on high-value strategic work while automating routine processes. Over the coming years, our focus includes expanding AI adoption across all legal workflows, optimizing legal spend, and establishing best-in-class operational metrics and reporting.

You'll be part of a collaborative, innovation-focused team that values experimentation, data-driven insights, and customer-centric solutions.
