Overview:
Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. PSI is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support project leaders from various teams leading the end-to-end systems engineering and mission critical project execution. You will work in a collaborative and innovative environment supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This is an amazing opportunity to directly support the global Command and Control Mission Systems (C2MS) program. You will be part of the Enduring Product Management Engineering and Development team supporting the C2MS program on Hurlburt Field on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. This team is made up of various engineering disciplines to cover the breadth of AFSOC mission sets and has several active projects that will require you to jump right in to support. As a member of the Life Cycle Management Team you will be co-located with essential elements of the team ensuring high standards of scrutiny and collaboration. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
- Provides systems engineering support with focus on integration of existing program of record and existing systems. - Systems Performance analysis. - Evaluates Test Data.
- Evaluates and implements Model Based Systems Engineering best practices across the lifecycle.
- Ensure systems engineering principles are applied per the AFSOC Development & Engineering process. - Perform requirements management, configuration management, and data management for system improvement or quick response solution being developed. - Develop DOD Architecture Framework artifacts. - Assist client in defining systems architectures and technology roadmaps that align with client vision.
- Assess and estimate projects with standard techniques to justify accurate resources required for the proposed development and engineering project. Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Systems or other Engineering discipline from institution recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for approved curriculum. - 7 years experience in Systems Engineering. - Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
- Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems. - Knowledge of military tactical data links, encryption equipment, and radio communication devices. - Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements. - Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment. - Experience in the design and managing complex systems over the product life cycle. - Ensures integration and factoring product support concerns into developed solutions. - Experience in applying systems engineering principles as identified in ISO/IEC/IEEE 24641:2023.
- Experience with configuration management industry standards such as EIA 649. Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds independently as part of regular job duties.
