Position Location This role is onsite at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. Job Overview The Senior Project Manager IT is a people and project leader in the Information Technology & Communications department. This role will assist in executing the base-level planning, coordination, project implementation and documentation requirements in all areas pertaining to MAX-GUN AFB Cyberspace environment. This role is onsite at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery Alabama. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: * Review the planning of base transmission media and telecommunications systems networks. * Evaluate new projects and network requirements to ensure strict adherence to Unified Facility Code (UFC) 3-580-01 standards criteria, existing DoD, AF, and AETC security policies to meet base-level demand for network services (NDCC distribution of voice, video, data, and bandwidth) on the MAX-GUN AFB Cyberspace infrastructure. * Respond to data calls and tasking from the Wing, AU, and AETC. * Proactively identify, document, implement future MAX-GUN AFB Cyberspace infrastructure requirements. * Manage a team of IT and Communication employees. * Coordinate and document Network Work Centers' activities pertaining to cyberspace infrastructure and systems changes in response to upward driven and downward directed requirements. * Manages from inception of the project until systems documentation including as-built drawings, testing and acceptance, proper commissioning for network [i.e., Risk Management Framework (RMF), Authorization to Connect/Operate (ATC/ATO), Cybersecurity policies] is complete and turned over to the using activity. * Other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: * Effectively coordinating several projects simultaneously.
* Communicating effectively orally and in writing.
* Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
* Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
* Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
* Adherence to established company operating policies, procedures and accepted industrial practices.
* Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
* Embraces and contributes to the parent company's safety culture.
* Having the ability to work well under pressure.
* Being onsite during normal business hours and the being able to report back within one hour after notification when contract performance occurs outside normal duty hours. Job Requirements Mandatory: Must have current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
โ€ข Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance. โ€ข Ability to acquire and maintain CASP +DE, preferred for DoD personnel.
โ€ข Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card. โ€ข Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. โ€ข Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position. โ€ข Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. โ€ข U.S. Citizenship. Preferred: โ€ข Preferred 5+ years of Project Management experience.
โ€ข Preferred an IAM Level 2 certification. โ€ข An understanding of operating in a military environment and/or military experience is a plus.
