Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Salary: $91,500.00 - $110,000.00 annually DOE

Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees daily production activities to ensure volume, cost, and quality standards are met. Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Identifies problems in the production process and provides production reports to support process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead production team members in their daily activities, including assigning duties, providing training, coaching, counseling, and presenting disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Coordinate and communicate production activities with external customers and internal departments, including logistics, engineering, and production management (to include management on other shifts)
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and safety guidelines to workers
  • Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and ultimately external customers
  • Lead regular communications with the team on company and department performance, with the goals of improvement and reducing waste and non-value-added activity
  • Investigate problems and issues on the production floor, recommend and implement solutions, including 5S tools to reduce variation in the work environment. Develop and utilize visual aids to communicate processes and procedures identified to address issues
  • Partner with quality and engineering teams to identify issues and develop and implement processes and procedures to prevent recurrence

Qualifications

  • Ability to apply technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing
  • Demonstrated expertise in methodologies for process controls and their applications
  • Demonstrated skills and understanding of continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, on-time delivery, cost, and quality of products
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community of customers and employees at all levels
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, plans, GD&T callouts, and specifications
  • Capacity to comprehend detailed and complex information and ideas, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to effectively communicate and deliver information to managers, supervisors, and technicians using various methods of communication (telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in-person)
  • Ability to multitask, follow through, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to work under pressure while maintaining perspective
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Strong operational thinking that moves the organization’s vision and goals to successful implementation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills that are aligned to our company core values

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing process is strongly preferred

Education

  • Certificate or Degree from college or technical school or related experience or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of above requirement

Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ supervision experience in a manufacturing environment

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite to interoperate and create reports preferred
  • Prior experience with an ERP system preferred

Pay
