Job description

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Candidate to have at least 5 years previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or related industries familiar with inspection processes and basic quality standards
  • Ability to measure, mark, and verify dimensions of finished parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards
  • Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, and feeds/speeds to optimize production and accuracy.
  • Keep equipment clean and in proper work order, clean work environment.
  • Record production data, job progress, and inspection results.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and inspectors to resolve machining or design issues.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and workplace cleanliness
  • Strong teammate skills with the ability to work independently when needed.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Able to lift 25 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be adaptable to a constantly changing environment and perform well under deadlines.

Experience and Education:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new skills effectively.
