The Company

Position Summary

This machinist will independently and safely set up and operate precision CNC ID-OD grind equipment.

Essential Functions

Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets to produce complex finished product.

Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.

Ability to accurately inspect work very close tolerances utilizing various instruments, including air gage, OD indicating gaging, indicators, profilometers, micrometers, height stands and verniers.

Perform daily TPM responsibilities.

Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.

Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.

Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members and supervisors.

Minimum of 3 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.

Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
