Sales Representative (Commission-Based, 1099) – Indiana Connection Magazine

Reach Indiana households. Build Indiana business.

Indiana Connection, the official publication of Indiana’s electric cooperatives, is delivered to nearly 300,000 households every month, making it one of the most widely read magazines in the state. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated sales representative to connect Indiana-based businesses with our engaged readership.

About the Role:

  • Freelance/independent contractor position (1099).
  • Sell advertising space to Indiana-based companies looking to reach nearly 300,000 Hoosier households.
  • Manage your own sales pipeline — from prospecting and presenting to closing.
  • Provide services independently while representing Indiana Connection in a professional manner.
  • Non-exclusive: you may also sell advertising for other publications or businesses.

Compensation:

  • 15% commission on all advertising sales.
  • No cap on earnings — the more you sell, the more you earn.
  • Freelance contractor role: no salary, no benefits. (No taxes withheld.)

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in advertising, media, or B2B sales is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
