About the Role

The General Manager leads the Division’s operations with full accountability for strategy, growth, and profitability. This role drives business objectives, ensures operational excellence, and builds strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors. By aligning people, processes, and resources, the General Manager delivers consistent results, high-quality service, and long-term success for Anthony & Sylvan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Division Strategy & Operations
  • Develop and implement procedures and performance objectives in conjunction with senior management.
  • Ensure all operations/projects are executed in a timely, financially sound manner aligned with company goals and quality standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day fiscal management to achieve revenue and operating income goals.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance indicators and make adjustments as needed.
  • Direct the preparation of the Division’s annual business plan and budget, monitoring progress throughout the year.
  • Review and contribute to advertising, marketing, and pricing decisions.
  • Provide direction to local marketing agencies for intranet and traditional advertising.
  • Stay aware of current selling trends and backlogs to maximize profits and daily production.
  • Lead market penetration, sales growth, and business development initiatives.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend strategic alliances to increase customer satisfaction, sales, and growth.
  • Resource & Subcontractor Management
  • Anticipate and resolve internal and external resource challenges in product delivery.
  • Build and maintain a quality subcontractor base to meet demand and uphold standards.
  • Construction Oversight & Customer Satisfaction
  • Provide management oversight to construction staff, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Support and guide employees to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve annual customer satisfaction survey (CSS) goals.
  • Talent Management & Development
  • Direct recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of high-caliber staff.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and developed to support organizational success.
  • Pursue and implement continuous process improvement across all business areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry, market, and technology trends, making recommendations for improvements and opportunities.
  • Corporate Alignment & Compliance
  • Act as liaison for implementing and interpreting corporate programs, policies, and procedures.
