Job Description
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Neurology Advanced Practice Provider you will deliver comprehensive, high-quality patient care. This vital role involves expert medical support, patient education, and a commitment to clinical excellence, contributing significantly to a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will be expected to cover between 12-24 shifts per year in 8 or 12 hour increments.
Each shift your responsibilities will extend to writing orders, prescribing medications, and potentially assisting in surgical procedures, all while meticulously documenting patient records and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives in patient care delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification. A current Physician Assistant license in the state of employment and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required. Candidates with 15 years of APP experience and 2+ years of prior professional experience are preferred. Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and patient relations skills are essential, along with the ability to manage stress, make critical decisions, and work independently within a high-volume clinical environment.
Job Requirements
Required:
Nurse Practitioner:
  • Master's degree in nursing as Nurse Practitioner
  • Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure for; and listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry
    required. Board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in applicable population foci and/or subspecialty required.
  • RN License required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association required
  • Have Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or have Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable for role with associated articulated plan
Physician Assistant:
  • Masters graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required
  • PA Certification by N.C.C.P.A. and current mid-level provider license by the state of Colorado required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required
Preferred:
Two or more years prior experience in neurology
