Advanced Manufacturing Engineer- Strategy Group

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in a team environment to develop and foster future global manufacturing discussions.  This position will provide manufacturing expertise in future planning.
  • Develop current and future state analysis for global manufacturing and demonstrate a strong commitment towards innovative approaches supporting company objectives, then present out findings to leadership.
  • Develop business cases feasibility studies for new truck/component manufacturing locations, vertical integration opportunities, and transfers manufacturing locations.
  • Possess strong analytical ability to gather large amounts of data and present out findings in a summary view using a visual and concise approach such as dashboards.  
  • Responsible for Global SharePoint updates and changes.
  • Lead cross functional teams for Future Facility Discussions with all global manufacturing plants.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in all aspects of projects including research and design, capital request, project planning, and manufacturing implementation.
  • Project Management of large global manufacturing projects
  • Create, set, and give direction for strategic initiatives.
  • Develop tools and methods to foster strategic discussions.
  • Develop/mentor other Mfg. Engineers (may not work directly for AME)
  • Support of manufacturing operations to grow Crown per direction of Mfg. Leadership. 
  • Support implement Crown Culture and visual management tools to sustain operations.
  • Support other projects as needed.
  • This position reports to the AME Manager.

Qualifications:  

  • 8-15 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related
    • Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Frequent travel (6-20%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering
  • 10 years in a manufacturing or project management role.
  • Ability to support multiple projects at once.
  • Strong background in SAP Crown 360 system for process/part data information gathering.
  • AutoCAD 2D and 3D Sketchup layouts, 3D process simulation, Power BI, Microsoft Project, and Project Management methodology.
  • Organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop relationships with global manufacturing plants, product development and marketing/sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes and system flows
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills to facilitate discussions with a wide variety of personnel at various levels of the organization.
