ROE Dental Laboratory has been a trusted leader in dental manufacturing and technology since the 1920s. As digital dentistry and advanced manufacturing continue to evolve, we are investing heavily in technology, automation, workflow optimization, and scalable systems throughout our operation.We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Manufacturing Project Engineer to help lead that evolution.
Position Summary
This is not a traditional desk engineering role. We are looking for someone to join our state-of-the-art dental manufacturing company who can lead projects, improve systems, implement new technologies, organize processes, and help drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in project management, process improvement, team development, and operational execution. This individual will work cross-functionally with leadership, production, CAM, manufacturing, outside vendors and technical teams to bring new technologies online, improve workflows, increase efficiency, and support long-term operational growth.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, automation, continuous improvement, technical operations, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing and technology implementation projects from planning through execution
  • Help bring new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and workflows online
  • Improve operational systems using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Analyze workflows, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and production processes to improve throughput and quality
  • Work closely with production teams to improve organization, accountability, communication, and workflow consistency
  • Assist with implementation and integration of:
    • 3D printing systems
    • CAM software and workflows
    • Manufacturing automation
    • AI quality control
    • Scanners and digital technologies
    • Equipment tracking and maintenance systems
  • Develop standardized processes, documentation, SOPs, and workflow structures
  • Coordinate projects across departments and ensure timelines and deliverables stay on track
  • Support preventive maintenance initiatives and equipment reliability efforts
  • Train and mentor employees on systems, workflows, and process improvements
  • Use data, metrics, and reporting tools to support operational decision-making
  • Help build scalable systems that support future company growth
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, process improvement, technical operations, or project engineering
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience implementing new technologies, systems, or operational workflows
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience in automation, CAM/CNC, 3D printing, or advanced manufacturing preferred (HyperDENT, Oqcam, MillBox, ExoCAD, RealGuide, or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities
  • Comfortable working directly on the production floor with employees and equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Dental laboratory or dental industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Engineering degree, technical degree, or equivalent hands-on experience welcomed
