We are seeking a full-time or part-time CNA for our Goleta program working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities!Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the nation's largest nonprofit organizations providing services, insight and leadership in the evolving field of behavioral healthcare.

The certified nursing assistant position provides quality nursing care to individuals served in accordance to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Duties include but are not limited to the following: assist individuals with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, incontinence care; transfers, lifts, moves, and transports individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting divides for accident prevention; communicates effectively and tactfully with individuals served, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors; is knowledgeable of individualized care plans and provides support according to the individual's care plan .

Part-time and full-time positions available. Part-time must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per week, including one weekend shift.

Current shifts available: Saturday/Sunday: 7am-3pm, Sunday-Saturday: 3pm-11pm, and Sunday-Saturday: 11pm-7am

Wages: $21-$22/hour

Qualifications

EDUCATION: HS Diploma/GED, graduate of an approved C.N.A program, and valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in California

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a certified nursing assistant is preferred, but not required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.

ADDITIONAL CLEARANCES:

  • Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a thorough background screening process and livescan fingerprinting

  • Drug screen clearance

  • Medical and tuberculosis skin test clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to administer CPR and first aid. Ability to properly restrain adult client. Ability to create and maintain a therapeutic milieu. Must be free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances
