Position Overview
As a DSP II / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will provide direct, person-centered support to adults with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs. You will assist individuals in developing greater independence, strengthening daily living skills, building positive behaviors, and participating meaningfully in their homes and communities.
You will work collaboratively with program leadership, clinical consultants, and other members of the care team to implement individualized support strategies and promote positive outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, person-centered support while maintaining the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of individuals served.
  • Implement and document Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and individualized support strategies.
  • Provide adaptive, social, functional, and community-integration skills training.
  • Collect and accurately document behavioral and service-related data to monitor progress and support positive outcomes.
  • Utilize ABA principles, including task analysis and skill-building techniques, as directed by the individual's treatment plan.
  • Promote independence, choice, self-advocacy, learning, and positive social interactions.
  • Support individuals with daily living activities and community participation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, coworkers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in team meetings, required training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect, and exploitation and immediately report concerns according to company policy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
  • DSP I & II certifications (Title 17) preferred/required as applicable.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred; training may be provided.
  • Experience applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and task-analysis techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, person-centered environment.
