LOCATION: LV Social Service – Home base: Henderson United Corps

STATUS: Full Time/ Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds as well as a wide range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Must be highly adaptable, thrive on challenges, and excel in various environments

  • Possess time management skills and be able to complete assigned tasks

  • Must be forklift certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment

  • Must be able to drive a 26’-29’ foot truck or be willing to be certified within 30 days of employment

  • Must possess a valid NV driver’s license with clean MVR

  • Must take and complete The Salvation Army’s Fleet Safety e-learning

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for upkeep, cleaning, repair, and organization of warehouse and grounds areas

  • Pick up, deliver, and distribute donations as assigned.

  • Drive and assist with unloading trucks and the distribution of food

  • Generate & maintain inventory logs for all materials, equipment, & properties passing through or stored in the warehouse.

  • Assist with water management for Heat Relief & toy and food management for Christmas distribution.

  • Liaise with community partners in managing annual food drives.

  • Maintain orderly storage of all food products and other materials in the proper areas, including donations for the ARC.

  • Supervise community service workers and volunteers as assigned

  • Ensure all vehicles are cleaned, serviced, and repaired as needed

  • Manually pack trucks with food including produce, frozen meats, and other goods from vendors.

  • Ensure that all trash is neatly in the dumpster and dumpster area is free of debris

  • Safely operate the forklift to manage donations and inventory in the warehouse

  • Organize and maintain the warehouse for optimal storage and program utilization.

  • Maintain records of large refrigerator and freezer temperatures.

  • Manage food Pantry, including set-up, clean-up, and distribution

  • Prepare daily sack lunches and organize volunteers to assist with distribution

  • Record statistics in Well Sky, HMIS, and Oasis data management systems

  • Order of monthly cleaning supplies and food-related items.

  • Other duties as assigned as they relate to the position of Food Program Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms continuously. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate a telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
