Position Overview

As a Payroll Analyst, you will support the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of U.S. and global payroll operations through payroll review, financial reconciliations, equity administration, and global mobility payroll coordination. You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Benefits, external payroll providers, and the Company's global mobility provider to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately, compliantly, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, including experience with multi-state payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, payroll accounting, reconciliations, payroll taxation, and internal controls.
  • Experience processing equity compensation through payroll preferred.
  • Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll system preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • CPP certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review bi-weekly U.S. payroll and monthly global payroll for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to final processing and transmission.
  • Analyze payroll registers, audit reports, exception reports, payroll calculations, deductions, and tax impacts to identify discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in partnership with the Payroll Specialist and Senior Payroll Manager.
  • Support payroll review activities and recommend corrective actions when issues are identified.
  • Escalate significant payroll risks or issues to the Senior Payroll Manager.
  • Partner with Accounting to resolve payroll variances and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Support payroll accrual calculations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Process and reconcile RSU and PSU vesting, distributions and settlements.
  • Ensure accurate payroll taxation and reporting of equity transactions.
  • Partner with the Stock Plan provider and Accounting to resolve equity-related payroll issues.
  • Coordinate equity program administration by updating blackout window dates in Fidelity, partnering with Internal Communications to prepare and distribute employee communications regarding blackout window opening and closing dates, and ensuring timely execution of related activities.
  • Assist with annual equity payroll reporting requirements.
  • Review monthly global payrolls prepared by third-party payroll providers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to final processing.
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities for international employees, including seconded and expatriate employees, in partnership with the Company's global mobility provider.
  • Review and validate payroll inputs related to international assignments, including assignment allowances, tax equalization, hypothetical tax deductions, and other mobility-related compensation.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and the global mobility provider to ensure payroll transactions for globally mobile employees are processed accurately and in accordance with company policy and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support the administration of global payroll processes, including onboarding new countries, payroll provider transitions, and process improvements.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and inquiries related to global payroll and international assignments.
  • Reconcile payroll deductions transmitted to third-party vendors, including 401(k), ESPP, and benefit providers.
  • Review payroll outputs against vendor reports and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support implementation and testing of payroll-related vendor integrations and financial interfaces.
  • Maintain payroll process documentation.
  • Participate in payroll testing for system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Partner with HRIS, IT, Accounting, and vendors on payroll-related projects.
  • Support validation of payroll system configurations and General Ledger interfaces.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, automation, efficiency, and internal controls.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Benefits, and external vendors on payroll- and equity- related matters.
  • Collaborate with Payroll team members to resolve payroll issues.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll data, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support payroll and equity operations, and organizational objectives.

The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and location. The final offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications. This position may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (subject to company plans).
