Job Responsibilities

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, invites applications for an Admissions Operations Coordinator in the Office of Admissions. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions Operations, this position plays a vital role in supporting the daily administrative and operational functions of the Admissions Office. The successful candidate will serve as a key resource for admissions staff, student employees, prospective students, and families while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of applicant records and office processes.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating applicant, prospect, and student records in Banner and Slate CRM while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Processing admissions documents, electronic records, and related administrative transactions in support of the admissions process.
  • Serving as the Office of Admissions Purchasing Cardholder, including processing approved purchases, maintaining receipts and supporting documentation, and completing monthly reconciliations for supervisory review.
  • Coordinating and supporting student workers and graduate assistants, including onboarding, training, scheduling support, and monitoring adherence to office procedures and customer service standards.
  • Providing administrative and operational support to admissions staff, assisting with office projects, communications, record management, and departmental initiatives.
  • Assisting with the daily operation of the Admissions Office by helping to ensure efficient workflows, organized records, and responsive service to prospective students and families.
  • Serving as the primary backup to the Admissions Receptionist by providing front-office coverage during breaks, absences, high-volume periods, and special events.
  • Greeting visitors, answering telephone inquiries, directing students and families to appropriate resources, and contributing to a professional, welcoming, and customer-focused environment.
  • Collaborating with admissions staff and campus partners to support recruitment efforts and the overall enrollment process.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma and relevant administrative, clerical, customer service, or data entry experience required. Strong organizational, customer service, data entry, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work accurately with detailed information and maintain confidential records. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. ย 

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree preferred. Experience in higher education, admissions, student services, or office administration is preferred. Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems, student information systems, Banner, or Slate is preferred.
