Job Summary
The Associate Director of Admissions provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for undergraduate and graduate student recruitment initiatives at Georgia Gwinnett College. This position is responsible for managing recruitment operations, supervising admissions recruitment staff, and developing strategies that support the College's enrollment goals.
The Associate Director serves in a leadership capacity within Enrollment Management Services, utilizing data-informed decision-making to assess recruitment effectiveness, identify opportunities for growth, and implement initiatives that enhance student engagement, application conversion, and enrollment outcomes. The position collaborates closely with academic departments, student affairs, marketing, and other campus partners to support institutional enrollment objectives.
The Associate Director plays a key role in fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment with an expectation of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and exceptional customer service. A commitment to student success, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead Admissions Counselors by overseeing hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, workload assignments, and professional development.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategic undergraduate and graduate recruitment and enrollment plans to achieve institutional enrollment goals and support student recruitment initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on recruitment and enrollment data, including application trends, territory performance, counselor metrics, and recruitment outcomes; provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate recruitment activities and events, including high school visits, college fairs, campus tours, open houses, yield events, and other outreach efforts.
  • Develop and oversee territory management strategies, establish recruitment goals, monitor performance indicators, and evaluate return on investment for recruitment activities.
  • Counsel prospective students and families regarding admissions requirements, enrollment processes, academic programs, financial aid opportunities, and student support services.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to implement recruitment, communication, and yield strategies, including developing and assessing CRM campaigns and prospective student engagement efforts.
  • Represent the institution at internal and external meetings, conferences, community events, and recruitment activities while maintaining knowledge of enrollment trends, best practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports, analyses, and strategic recommendations on recruitment and enrollment performance, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 + years of relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Six + years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or higher education
  • Experience supervising recruitment staff
  • Experience using CRM systems (Element 451 preferred)
  • Experience using Banner Student Information System
  • Experience with enrollment analytics and reporting

Proposed Salary
56,800 - 71,000
Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
