Student Worker - Nursing Admissions Office

Position Summary

The Student Worker in the Nursing Admissions Office provides administrative, customer service, and recruitment support to the admissions team. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for prospective students while assisting with daily office operations, recruitment initiatives, and special events. The student worker reports directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions, as well as other Admissions Office staff, and performs duties under their supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Nursing Admissions Office and assist with recruitment activities.
  • Enter and maintain prospective student information in the admissions database with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate with prospective students by answering emails, phone calls, and general inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and mail admissions and recruitment materials for prospective students.
  • Welcome and assist walk-in visitors, providing excellent customer service and conducting building tours as needed.
  • Organize and maintain recruitment materials, including information packets, promotional items, and travel supplies.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining admissions records.
  • Perform other office, administrative, and recruitment-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current student in good academic standing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling student information.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
