Litigation Paralegal for Fast-Growth Atlanta Family Law Firm

Fast-growing Family Law and Probate Firm is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. Are you someone who can grow with us and is eager to advance their career by eventually taking on more responsibility and leadership as our practice blossoms? Perfect! This position may be for you.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of family law litigation matters.


Family law and probate experience are NOT required but preferred. 


Hybrid/Work From Home may be available for the proper candidate. Your experience level will dictate any Hybrid/WFH opportunities.

Compensation:

$24 - $34 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Fact and legal research
  • Draft and respond to Discovery
  • Draft pleadings, including answers, counterclaims, complaints, and motions
  • Draft correspondence
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Work closely with our team of attorneys
  • Manage the attorney's calendar
  • Manage case deadlines
  • Maintain case files
  • Assist with case management
  • Organize and electronically file pleadings
  • Prepare exhibits and other documents for the court
  • Copying, scanning, and other administrative work
  • Track and bill your time
  • Delegate work to Legal Assistants
  • Run lead on supporting the Attorney in a case. In many cases, being the client's point of contact
  • Communicate and interact with clients

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal (Family Law preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
  • Ideally, this is an in-office position at our Alpharetta location, but we can be flexible for the right fit (See Above)
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Experience in billing your time is greatly preferred
  • Previous experience in delegating tasks is ideal
