Job description

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Administration & Support Senior Assistant to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Reese, MI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate digital, multi-line phone system, distributing work to various departments as required.
  • Assist Account Managers and producers to process telephone service requests, including but not limited to policy endorsements, cancellations, billing and identification card issuance.
  • Thoroughly and accurately document agency management system as required.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of agency procedures.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Review insurance company communications daily.
  • Review account renewals and endorsements (download and paper) for accuracy.
  • Provide assistance to customers regarding billing transactions/issues.
  • Provide assistance to customers reporting claims.
  • Provide administrative support as requested by management, producers and other staff members.
  • Use interpersonal communication skills to engage and develop relationships with Owen Moore Insurance Agency clients and carrier underwriters.
  • Actively listen and identify client needs or requests/concerns that are related to their insurance needs.
  • Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax and electronic mail to respond to inquiries and answer insurance related questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information related to clients, employees and carriers.

Qualifications:
  • Two year college degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Excellent phone skills, organizational skills, computer and keyboarding skills, knowledge of word processing with Microsoft Windows and Office experience.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to self-direct the completion of job duties.
  • Previous experience using agency management system preferred but not required.
