Job description

Morton Buildings, Inc. is the industry leader in post-frame construction. We have been in business for 120 years and have more than 10 manufacturing, fabrication, and shipping plants servicing over 100 construction centers nationwide. The Commercial Project Assistant is a full-time position responsible for supporting the project managers, project engineers, and superintendents with administrative tasks, interfacing with the entire construction team from concept to completion.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks for the department, creating new vendors for designBuild and Commercial projects, and processing purchase orders and invoices.
  • Oversees the AIA process, completing payment applications, maintaining records, and providing reports as requested.
  • Provides departmental support, processing lien waivers, maintaining vehicle records, preparing expense reports, tracking per diem requests, scheduling department meetings and trainings, and preparing department metrics as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or 3 years of industry experience
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
  • Self-starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
