Job description

Summary

Provides overall direction and general administration of the hospital in coordination with, or in the absence of hospital administration personnel. Issues addressed typically involve: public relations, safety, prevention of risk exposure, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and protection of hospital physical assets.

Education

Must obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years of employment or will not be eligible to continue in the role. Coursework is completed outside of work hours. Nurses with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), hired/rehired or transferred from a non-nursing position prior to 12/1/17 are grandfathered into the role and not required to obtain BSN.

Licensure/Certification

Must provide current RN license by the State Board of Nursing. Must have current CPR. Randallia campus must have CPR, ACLS. Parkview Behavioral Health campus must have CPI.

Experience

Three to five years experience as a RN, preferably telemetry, ED, or critical care (must have for Randallia campus) Charge nurse or the equivalent of previous management experience required.

Other Qualifications

Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates proficiency in directing and guiding personnel.
