Employers often look for candidates with good communication, organizational, and computer skills, even if they haven’t worked as an admin assistant before. Float Medical Assistant – North Houston

Full-Time | $21/hour | Paid Training | Multiple North Houston Locations

Ready to grow your career in healthcare while gaining hands-on experience across multiple clinics?

SynergenX, Low T Center, and HerKare are nationally recognized leaders in hormone replacement therapy, weight management, and targeted wellness services. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and adaptable Float Medical Assistant to join our North Houston team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and wants to build valuable experience working alongside providers and clinical teams across several locations.

Why You’ll Love This Role
  • $21/hour

  • Two weeks of paid training

  • Great benefits

  • Gain experience across multiple clinics and teams

  • Work directly with experienced healthcare providers

  • Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, injections, labs, and patient care

  • Opportunity to grow your skills and career within a growing healthcare organization

  • No Medical Assistant certification or license required

As a Float Medical Assistant, no two days will look exactly the same. You will provide hands-on patient care while supporting our North Houston SynergenX and Low T Center locations wherever your help is needed most.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, friendly, confident with patients, comfortable staying busy, and ready to jump in and help the team.

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome patients and help create a positive, comfortable patient experience.

  • Obtain and document manual vital signs.

  • Perform routine blood draws and venipuncture.

  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as directed by the provider.

  • Run in-house laboratory testing and prepare specimens for outside laboratory processing.

  • Maintain lab equipment and accurately document laboratory results and quality-control checks.

  • Complete weekly inventory and assist with ordering and organizing clinical supplies.

  • Work closely with providers and clinical team members to keep patient flow running smoothly.

  • Assist with front-desk responsibilities when needed.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinic procedures.

  • Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality every day.

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required — physical proof must be provided.

  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred, but not required.

  • Minimum of 3 months of relevant experience in a medical setting OR documented completion of 180 externship hours.

  • Experience performing venipuncture and IM/SQ injections preferred.

  • Comfortable using computers and learning clinical systems.

  • Friendly, dependable, professional, and comfortable interacting with both patients and providers.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust quickly based on clinic needs.

  • Must successfully pass a background check.

Float Location Requirement

This is a true North Houston Float position, so flexibility is important. You must be willing and able to travel between the following locations as needed:

  • Atascocita

  • Kingwood

  • Spring

  • The Woodlands

  • Vintage Park

  • Cypress

If you enjoy variety and like the idea of getting to know different teams and clinics rather than working in the exact same environment every day, this could be a great fit for you.

Schedule

Candidates must have availability during the following clinic hours:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Up to 3 Saturdays per month: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

When you work a Saturday, you will receive a weekday off.

Compensation

$21.00 per hour

If you are looking for more than just another Medical Assistant job and want an opportunity to learn, grow, gain exposure to multiple clinics, and become an important part of a growing healthcare team, we want to meet you.
