We are looking for a Billing Specialist to join our team. The role will be responsible for the processing of all billing inquiries, daily invoice verifications, and being the focal point for addressing billing inquiries and activities.
What You Will Do:
  • Process billing inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that transactions are being prepared according to finance policies and approval standards are being met per set requirements.
  • Responsible for verifying and processing daily invoices.
  • Be the focal point for addressing billing inquiries and activities for customers and provisioning permissions, sales, and support.
  • Process internal requests for address changes, billing account changes, rate changes, account termination, account reactivation, recurring billing additions, etc.
  • Support the collection activities through special billing requirements and billing reconciliation issues as well as supplying customer documentation.
  • Manage complex draft and recurring invoices, in addition to invoice processing.
  • Act as a resource for best practices regarding obtaining and maintaining documentation for customers.
  • Address complex situations regarding sales rep's communication.
  • Partner with legal teams to derive terminology and appropriate wording regarding contracts.
  • Partner with the product & pricing team on creating new products and apply their associated claims.
  • Create new entities end-to-end and ensure their implementation in relevant systems.
  • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Contribute to the team's mission to improve data flows, optimizing our processes, and ensuring accounting output is accurate.
  • Build and implement new processes in relevant systems.
  • Mentor new team members and guiding them on best practices, knowledge sharing capabilities.

This is the perfect job for someone who has:
  • Completed a degree in finance/economics/business management preferred
  • A good technical and system understanding
  • Two years prior billing experience required
  • Proficiency with MS Windows Office Suite and G-drive (advanced user of Excel preferred)
  • Superb attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with the corporate office and to be self-motivated
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep up in an ever-changing environment
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Ability to produce well-written, professional documents (spreadsheets, email, etc)
  • Ability to follow directions, meet strict deadlines, and work independently
  • Ability and genuine desire to develop positive and productive working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent English - written and spoken.
  • Salesforce experience - a plus
  • 3rd party billing system experience - a plus

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $75,000 to $95,000 + benefits including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, potential equity, employee stock purchase plan and paid sick and parental leave.
Individual compensation is based upon a number of factors, including qualifications and relevant experience.
The base salary range above is for the New York City metro area, and could vary for candidates in other locations.
