The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, while ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in NE
  • Current CNA certification in NE
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications accurately and safely per physician orders
  • Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report changes promptly
  • Document medication administration in accordance with facility policies
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized medication carts and storage areas
  • Follow all state regulations and facility protocols
  • Provide compassionate, respectful care to all residents
