Job description

Smadex is a leading advertising technology company founded in Barcelona in 2010 and acquired by American-based, publicly listed Entravision in 2018 (NYSE: EVC). We power campaigns for apps, games, and brands across Mobile and CTV using advanced machine learning, data-driven optimization, and high-performing creative strategies to deliver measurable results.

Smadex is one of the fastest-growing DSPs in the market, and we are expanding our team to support our ambitious growth plans. To help us continue scaling in the Americas, we are looking for an Ad Operations Senior Manager to join our team in Austin, TX.

This is a hybrid role based in Austin, Texas.

Your mission

As an Ad Operations Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing high-value User Acquisition, Connected TV, and Retargeting campaigns for strategic clients across the Americas.

You will be a senior operational owner within the team, ensuring campaigns are launched, monitored, optimized, and scaled with strong attention to performance, budget pacing, technical accuracy, and client goals. You will combine hands-on campaign management expertise with a data-driven mindset, using performance insights, MMP data, and troubleshooting skills to drive results.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience managing mobile app promotion campaigns who wants to take ownership of complex, high-impact accounts while contributing to the growth of a fast-moving AdTech team.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Manage high-value campaigns: Own the day-to-day execution, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of strategic UA Mobile, CTV, and Retargeting campaigns.
  • Drive campaign performance: Analyze campaign data, identify optimization opportunities, A/B tests, and make data-driven decisions to improve scale, efficiency, retention, ROAS, and client KPIs.
  • Work with MMP data: Use attribution and performance data from MMPs such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava, Singular, Branch, or similar platforms to monitor performance and guide optimizations.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues: Act as a senior point of contact for technical and operational troubleshooting, including tracking, attribution, pacing, delivery, creative, inventory, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with Account Management, Sales Engineering, Creative, Data Science, Product, and other internal teams to resolve issues and improve campaign outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders: Translate complex operational or technical topics into clear, actionable updates for internal teams and client-facing stakeholders.
  • Support team development: Share knowledge, document best practices, and help mentor campaign managers or analysts through hands-on guidance and process improvements.
Skills and requirements
  • 3+ years of experience managing mobile app promotion campaigns, ideally across user acquisition and/or retargeting.
  • Strong hands-on experience in mobile performance marketing, campaign optimization, and client KPI management.
  • Experience working with multiple Mobile Measurement Partners, such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava, Singular, Branch, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with campaign data, attribution data, dashboards, spreadsheets, and performance reports.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex campaign issues across tracking, attribution, delivery, pacing, creatives, inventory, and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and operational topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple high-priority campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with Account Management, Sales, Product, Data Science, Creative, or Engineering teams.
Nice to have
  • Hands-on experience working with a programmatic DSP.
  • Experience managing CTV campaigns.
  • Experience with incrementality testing and MMM measurement.
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, BI tools, or advanced data analysis workflows.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members or improving AdOps processes in a scaling organization.

What’s in it for you?

  • Be part of a leading, fast-growing, innovative company shaping the future of mobile advertising.
  • Join a highly motivated and young team.
  • Possibility of traveling to the Barcelona HQ for collaboration and team-building activities after your first year.
  • Great compensation package tailored to the U.S. market.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits plans.
  • Exposure to leading global app publishers and media partners in the digital advertising industry.
  • Learning and training opportunities to grow your career.

Candidates must have the current legal right to work in the United States. Smadex does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
