Job description

At Buck Mason, we believe in timeless style and quality craftsmanship. Our mission is to create classic American clothing that embodies simplicity and authenticity. We're looking for a Planning and Merchant Operations Associate to join our merchandising team and help keep the engine running from buy through delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their merchandising career who loves products, lives in spreadsheets, and gets a real kick out of clean data. You'll get exposure across the full merchandising lifecycle - from buy sheets to POs to post-launch reporting - while learning the craft alongside senior buyers and planners. Product and brand obsession is a must.

Responsibilities:
Product & Merchandising Support

Support buying/planning managers in building and maintain seasonal buy sheets, line lists, and assortment plans
Prepare materials for line reviews, and seasonal hand-offs - pulling decks, taking notes, owning follow-ups
Maintain product information across merchandising systems (style numbers, descriptions, attributes, classifications)
Partner with product development, design and production team to ensure all product information is aligned and updated across all platforms; chase missing information to keep timelines on track
Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders with accuracy on styles, quantities, costs
Process PO revisions, cancellations, and extensions; communicate updates to cross-functional teams
Own SKU setup - making sure every style is correctly built in our systems before POs go out the door

Data & Reporting
  • Build and distribute recurring weekly and monthly reports on sell-through, in-stock position, on-order, and core KPIs

  • Pull ad-hoc data for the merchandising team - best/worst sellers, size curves, vendor performance, sample status

  • Help maintain the merchandising calendar and flag at-risk milestones

  • Surface trends and anomalies in the data - we want someone who looks past the numbers and asks "why"
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or merchandising operations (relevant internships count)

  • Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, comfortable working with large data sets

  • Detail-oriented to a fault - you catch the typo, the missing SKU, the wrong delivery date

  • Organized and proactive; able to juggle multiple workstreams without dropping the ball

  • Exposure to PLM, ERP, or inventory management systems is a plus; willingness to learn is a must

  • Clear written and verbal communicator who knows how to ask the right questions

  • Passion for product, process, and the Buck Mason brand
What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay
  • Health, dental & vision insurance
  • Fitness & wellness benefits
  • 401k retirement savings plan with Company matching
  • Quarterly clothing allowance
$72,000 - $80,000 a year
Here at Buck Mason, we're all about transparency and fairness, especially when it comes to compensation. While the base salary range for this role is $72,000-$80,000 per year, your total compensation package may include commissions, bonuses and other perks tailored to your performance and dedication to our craft.
Buck Mason designs updated, modern American classics for daily wear. Founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen Ford, who were neighbors in Venice, California, they initially set up shop in a 350 square foot garage off Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Using old school manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology, they took an architectural approach to product with the goal of making fashion less complicated, building each piece to last beyond a single season.
