As an Actuarial Senior Manager, you will apply actuarial, strategic, and analytical experience to help clients evaluate business issues, improve decision-making, and support transformation in a rapidly evolving market. This role offers the opportunity to engage with executives across the health care landscape, ranging from health plays to large health systems, and lead teams that drive network coverage decisions, value-based care models and performance, product and pricing, and financial performance.
- Engage with payers and provider clients to support a transition from current models to ones focused on outcomes for patients and members
- Examine the root cause issues for drivers of cost and reimbursement and formulate strategic paths for remediation
- Advise clients on alternative plan designs, reimbursement models, and value-based care strategies, including analysis of return on investment for medical management initiatives
- Lead actuarial modeling and analysis to assess the impact of trend changes in the health care landscape, review plan design changes and pricing decisions, and enterprise cost strategies for health plan and insurance clients
- Review and apply trend forecasting, predictive modeling, underwriting, and risk analysis methodologies to support client decision-making
- Advise clients on alternative plan designs, reimbursement models, and value-based care strategies, including analysis of return on investment for medical management initiatives
- Develop and present reports and recommendations for senior client stakeholders and Deloitte leadership while leading teams across engagements
