Job description

Facility is currently looking for an ACTIVITY ASSISTANT. Come join our team as an Activity Assistant at our state of the art, Independent & Assisted living facility. The position provides activities to the facility residents with the goal to promote the psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents, families and staff.
Pay $13.50 - $16.00 an hour!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities, which are essential to the total wellbeing of our Residents.
  • Provides insight with the activity calendar and provides activities to meet the needs of the residents
  • Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
  • Attends outings - operates bus lift and all other bus equipment.
  • Attends Team Member meetings as needed
  • Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
  • Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
  • Documents activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
  • Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
  • All other duties specified by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery
  • Willing to learn and communicates well with others
  • Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
