Activities Assistant

Job Summary:

Merriam Gardens Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational activities that promote socialization, physical fitness, and mental stimulation. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of recreational activities and events for residents, including social programs, exercise classes, and entertainment events
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a warm and welcoming environment
• Coordinate and participate in activities, games, and social events to stimulate cognitive and physical abilities
• Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement individualized activity plans for residents
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvements
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
• Assist with the maintenance of a clean and organized activity department

Requirements:
