Job Summary:

Motivate residents to participate in activities to promote activity of mind and body and encourage a feeling of well being and worth in the residents.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating supportive activities under direct supervision of the Activity Director.
  • Encouraging individual residents to participate in activities.
  • Assisting in finding methods to motivate residents to take an interest in life and the community.
  • Helping recruit and train volunteers.
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment in a safe way.
  • Seeing that the activity areas are in good and clean order before and after each activity.
  • Documenting resident activity participation and attendance and taking part in documenting

Job Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
  • Interest in working in Geriatric setting
  • Experience in various activities and handicrafts
  • Verbal and written communication skills
