What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Memory Care Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan. Memory Care Activities Director will oversee the programming in Memory Care and work with families and clinical staff to ensure resident and family satisfaction.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • A fire and passion for working with seniors
  • A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
  • Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or related area. Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
  • Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
  • Preferred experience with cognitively impaired seniors and behaviors.
  • Professional image in both appearance and behavior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
