About the team and position

Carvana is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and high-energy Specialist of Brand Activations. In this role, you will own the strategic vision and serve as the subject matter expert in all things events, experiential marketing, and brand activations. You will keep a pulse on marketplace trends, look for new ways of thinking, and translate external inspiration into unique, impactful brand experiences that emotionally connect with current and potential Carvana customers.

As a cross-functional leader, you will work closely with internal Brand Leads, Partnerships Leads, and Executive Stakeholders to ensure every activation directly supports Carvana's broader brand strategy. If you are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-changing environments and loves turning ambitious creative concepts into highly organized, measurable realities, we want you on our team.

Work Location

This role is located at our Corporate HQ in Tempe, AZ or Los Angeles, CA and is performed on-site, 5 days a week.

What you'll do

Strategic Vision & Impact
  • Identify and own opportunities for our Carvana Cares initiatives.
    • Manage and guide the direction of the Carvana Cares program.
    • Lead the pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Work closely with Brand Leads and Stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and develop plans and projects for how the team can impact said needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in all things events, experiences, and activations. You should have a finger on the pulse of what's going in the space, new ways of thinking, what other brands are successfully doing and tie it back to Carvana.
  • Identify KPIs and benchmarks for individual programs and aim to hit or exceed them for each.
  • Develop strategic and thoughtful briefs as they pertain to experiences and activations either with partners or Brand building.
  • Ensure projects align with overall Brand Strategy.
  • On a case by case basis, plan develop net new activations to achieve brand goals.
Execution
  • Manage vendor relations and accompanying agreements, payment, and quality of vendor work.
    • Vendors include: activation development, staffing, storage, etc.
  • Work hand in hand with our Partnerships Lead for activating within partnership spaces.
  • When necessary work with Internal Comms to plan, organize, and launch internal events.
  • Build monthly recap reports that are shared out with the larger Brand Team.

What you should have

  • 3+ experience years in a relevant field
  • Proven capability in tracking program KPIs, building strategic briefs, and handling vendor contracts and large-scale activations.
  • Experience planning and executing against quarterly and yearly budgets.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a relevant field.

  • Ability to understand business needs and take the correct insight/information to develop strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of how to apply marketing strategies to drive the business forward.
  • Quickly and decisively takes action in fast-changing, unpredictable situations.
