Job description

Digital Marketing Specialist
You are a key member of the Digital Experience team and the Sports Endeavors ecommerce business. In this role you will develop a deep understanding of the SOCCER.COM, WorldSoccerShop and 431 Sports brands and how to effectively promote them efficiently across all digital marketing touchpoints such as Google, Meta, and connected TV platforms. You are a positive and collaborative team player that's dedicated to bringing integrated digital marketing campaigns to life in ways that create seamless user experiences that drive site traffic and overall ecommerce revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4+ years of digital marketing and/or ecommerce experience with both a creative and analytical mindset that will help us achieve business objectives through a relentless focus on creating amazing customer experiences across all of our digital channels.
Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, testing, and execution of merchandising and marketing campaigns including but not limited to product launches, promotions, and brand campaigns in paid search, paid social, programmatic, affiliate and other digital marketing channels
  • Strategically work alongside Digital Experience, Marketing, Merchandising, and Team Sales to implement and maintain digital campaigns on time and in alignment with goals and objectives
  • Communicate creative needs for digital marketing campaign executions with Digital Experience, Design, and Content teams in a timely manner
  • Write and refine advertising copy as needed
  • Conduct pre-launch QA across digital campaigns to ensure accuracy and consistency of creative assets, copy, links, tracking, and landing pages prior to activation
  • Assist in reviewing paid media performance and campaign results with agency partners to identify areas for improvement and test new strategies
  • Implement customer segmentation strategies utilizing first-party data that improve paid media performance
  • Participate in regular meetings to review overall marketing calendars and prioritize actions based on deadlines and business goals
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and overall paid media performance and make recommendations for improvements where necessary
  • Coordinate paid social marketing and organic social content and promo efforts, manage segmented budgets to achieve campaign goals
  • Research advertising trends on an ongoing basis to ensure our brands are leveraging the lasts ad formats and strategies in order to earn top placements and efficient costs across advertising networks
  • Optimize seasonal campaigns, research key terms, and continuously seek out ways to improve search and advertising results through digital analytics insights
  • Conduct market research to inform campaigns around large sporting events and key moments
  • Identify and research competitors' pricing, products, ads, and overall go-to-market strategies and make recommendations for optimizing our own strategies accordingly
  • Monitor project status and budget flighting for digital advertising programs
  • Assist in the growth of the affiliate marketing content creator partnership programs, grassroots event marketing opportunities, youth club advertising partnerships and all other digital marketing activations
  • Manage the digital marketing invoice verification and approval process in partnership with our Finance Team via our accounts payable systems
  • Be ready and willing to support the overall Digital Experience Team by occasionally assisting in site merchandising, new product activations, landing page creation and optimization, email marketing, text messaging (SMS), internal site search optimization, customer ratings and reviews curation, and other related tasks as needed

Qualifications
  • Experience working with digital marketing and advertising platforms
  • Organizational and planning skills required to handle multiple, ongoing projects
  • Ability to gather information from a variety of sources

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong, energetic character able to positively communicate strategic ideas and adapt to changing requirements effectively
  • Comfortable and efficient working cross-functionally and with both internal and external marketing teams
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic and "always deliver on time" attitude
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or other related fields
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative mindset - and willingness to bring ideas to life
  • Prior ecommerce and/or retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of finance and accounts payable processes a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and analytics platforms
  • Experience working with collaborative software such as Clickup, Asana, Slack, etc.
